In the exhibition of Rahima Gambo “Bird Sound Orientations” we will sit down together and go on a walk through our mobile phones, their feeds, and streams of information to explore the disturbances between what matters to us, and what matters to data.
We spend a lot of time in digital worlds and have accumulated a lot of knowledge about the digital we often are not aware of. With a common walk through the algorithmic environments of social media feeds we explore this implicit knowledge about the digital in the workshop. We try to find traces of the algorithmic order and to share our experiences, expectations, or even alienation in order to learn from each other.
The workshop aims at getting a feeling for this special kind of digital space and shaping our senses for the peculiarities of the data-driven world.
